In June, 1967 a number of Design Engineers belonging to the Institution of Engineers (India) based in Bangalore founded the “Design Engineering Forum” under the auspices of the Mysore Center (now Karnataka State Centre) and group meetings and discussions were held regularly. In July, 1968 the first annual session of the “Design Engineering Forum” was held at Bangalore along with first All India Design Competitions in
• Product Design Competition for Engineering Industry.
• Design Competition for Mechanical Engineering Students.
• Design Competition for Professional Design Engineers.
